Junior Full-Stack Developer (MERN / Next.js / TypeScript)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Full-Stack Application Development -

   • Assist in developing scalable web applications using the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js/Next.js, Node.js).  

   • Build and maintain reusable UI components using React.js and Next.js.  

   • Create, integrate, and test REST APIs under guidance from senior developers.  

   • Write clean, readable, maintainable, and structured code following development standards.  

   • Assist in implementing new modules, features, and system improvements.  

   • Work on authentication flows, forms, dashboards, and API integrations.  
     
     

2. Collaboration & Learning -

   • Work closely with senior developers and team leads to understand project requirements and workflows.  

   • Follow coding standards, TypeScript best practices, folder structures, and internal development guidelines.  

   • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback constructively.  

   • Take part in sprint planning, technical discussions, and development meetings.

   • Continuously improve technical understanding through practical implementation and mentorship.  
     
     

3. Problem Solving & Bug Fixing -

   • Identify and fix basic front-end and back-end bugs.  

   • Learn to troubleshoot issues efficiently and debug applications systematically.  

   • Assist in optimizing application performance and fixing UI/UX inconsistencies.  

   • Support testing, validation, and quality improvement of features before deployment.  
     
     

4. Documentation & Reporting -

   • Maintain proper documentation for modules, APIs, and features worked on.  

   • Update task progress regularly and communicate blockers or issues clearly.  

   • Follow assigned timelines and development schedules responsibly.  

   • Maintain organized code commits and version control practices.  

Required Technical Skills:

1. Core Development Skills -

   • Good understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals.  

   • Basic to intermediate hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.  

   • Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js.  

   • Basic understanding of MongoDB and database operations.  

   • Understanding of APIs, JSON handling, and REST architecture.  

   • Familiarity with asynchronous programming and API integration concepts.  
     
     

2. Development Tools & Workflow -

   • Knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows including commits, pull requests, branches, and merges.   

   • Understanding of project structures and component-based architecture.  

   • Basic familiarity with debugging tools and browser developer tools.  

   • Eagerness to learn deployment workflows, AWS basics, and server management concepts.  
     
     

3. Front-End Understanding -

   • Basic understanding of responsive UI development.  

   • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or modern CSS frameworks.  

   • Understanding of reusable components and clean UI structuring.

5. Preferred Qualifications -

   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

   • Internship, academic project, or freelance experience in web development

   • Basic knowledge of Redux/Zustand or state management libraries.  

   • Understanding of JWT authentication and role-based systems.  

   • Familiarity with Docker or deployment workflows.  

   • Basic understanding of AWS, Vercel, or server hosting.  

   • Exposure to real-time features using Socket.io or WebSockets.  

   • Understanding of ESLint, Prettier, and clean code practices.
